About Daniel Ortiz

As managing broker for Coldwell Banker SMART, Daniel Ortiz has led his team to become the No. 1 Coldwell Banker office in all of Mexico for the third year in a row. He was handpicked to represent the GLOBAL LUXURY program as an International Ambassador and in 2021 he was invited to join the prestigious INTERNATIONAL LUXURY ALLIANCE. Prior to becoming a broker in 2012, Daniel accomplished the highest status as an agent  when he earned the distinction of being named the No. 1 agent in Mexico for Coldwell Banker, taking home the honor of the Coldwell Banker President’s Elite award and an International Globe Award. Daniel is considered as one of the foremost experts in the San Miguel de Allende luxury real estate industry, having represented and sold, some of the most exclusive properties in the area, as well as represented the Rosewood Residences San Miguel de Allende — the most luxurious residential development located in the heart of the city. He served as Vice President of the local chapter of AMPI (Mexican Association of Realtors) as well as director of the MLS committee.

      In 2015 we decided to invest in a property in San Miguel de Allende, I reached out to Daniel Ortiz of CBSMART looking for advise, we liked a Rosewood Residence. Daniel and his team managed all aspects of the transaction in keeping with our interests and expectations. Thanks to his diligence we acquired the property, which we own till this date.

      We very strongly recommend Daniel…

      We lived in Mexico for about 15 years- in Puerto Vallarta and San Miguel de Allende. During that period, we moved residences on numerous occasions. We were represented by varied real estate brokers/agents on these transactions. On our final sale, early this year, we retained Daniel to represent us on the sale of our residence at Rosewood Residences in San Miguel de Allende. There is NO comparison between him and the other realtors. He was knowledgeable, thorough, responsive, efficient, friendly and professional. As one example, all of the buy-sell agreements provided to us by other realtors had to be reviewed by us requiring them to make varied corrections. Daniel’s documents were letter perfect! We sold our residence at almost the full listing price; and that too, within the time frame we had in mind.
